Chief Marketing Officer

We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who will report to the Partnership. The CMO will be based in the law firm’s Boca Raton office and expected to travel across the State of Florida as needed.

The CMO is responsible for forging and implementing strategy and managing a high-performance team responsible for each aspect of the firm’s marketing and business development, including:  brand management; event / seminar management; internal and external communications including media relations; publication launches; the firm’s website and other digital marketing tools; and marketing-related technologies / systems and programs.

JOB FUNCTIONS

The CMO must be a strategic thinker, a consummate professional, and an excellent leader. The CMO is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s innovative marketing strategy and tactics are aligned with the firm’s strategies. The CMO is expected to manage a team of professionals committed to a collaborative atmosphere and continuous improvement.

YOUR MARKETING ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT THE LAW FIRM

  • Develop a firm-wide marketing and business development plan, with subordinate practice area and attorney plans.
  • Oversee a department of three-to-five sales and marketing professionals.
  • Manage relations with external providers of services such as website, public relations, social media consultants, videography and photography, client feedback programs and marketing-related technologies (e.g., CMS, proposal management, experience management).
  • Manage the implementation of marketing-related technologies, especially the integration of systems.
  • Manage the development of effective collateral material, including the design of proposals, firm brochure, practice/office/industry brochures, client alerts, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Manage external and internal communications, including the promotion of firm and attorney awards, rankings and accomplishments.
  • Collaborate with the firm Recruiting Department to develop innovative recruiting campaigns and strategies.
  • Collaborate with litigation teams and attorneys across the firm with a focus on client retention.
  • Establish metrics with which to track the department’s performance and routinely report those to management.
  • Develop, monitor and manage the firm’s marketing budget.
  • Plan educational seminars across State of Florida.
  • Manage business development team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • 5+ years of directing the marketing initiatives at the high level in a law firm.
  • Highly technical with a command of CRM and digital marketing strategies.
  • Implementing proactive media relations and business development strategies.
  • Adept at creating and managing a marketing budget and cost effective legal marketing campaigns.
  • The ability to measure ROI and implement marketing strategy performance metrics.
  • Management skills in order to oversee a department of three-to-five sales and marketing professionals.
