Client Engagement Specialist

Our client, a West Hartford law firm, seeks a part-time Client Engagement Specialist for their law firm. The ideal candidate has a background in processing new client intake, using CRM technology, calendaring, phone, data entry, and office skills. Previous legal assistant or law firm admin experience preferred. A commitment to excellence is expected.
This job is not a receptionist or sales position; it is a bit of both and much more. The law firm seeks a diligent team player who pays attention to detail and communicates well. In addition, the right candidate will sincerely desire to help the firm’s current and prospective clients and have the confidence to guide people forward.
While prior work in a law office is helpful, it is not a prerequisite. Similarly, experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software is desirable but optional. However, advanced computer and typing (keyboarding) skills, spreadsheets, phone etiquette, accuracy, and proactiveness are needed to succeed in this role.
Compensation, Hours, and Benefits
This part-time position is a 25-hour-a-week job in the office, 9 am – 2 pm (or 8:30 – 1:30; 9:30 – 2:30), with the potential, down the road, to become a hybrid position with some remote flexibility. You would be in a congenial and dynamic environment of motivated professionals working together as a successful team, proud of its accomplishments and committed to helping clients.
This position offers an hourly rate between $20 – $24 per hour, depending upon relevant experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid time off (begins accruing after 60 days), up to 4% retirement contribution match, and paid holidays.
Responsibilities
– Manage/prioritize potential new client (PNC) leads, respond to PNC inquiries, calendar consultations
– Maintain and manage several internal spreadsheets (Spreadsheets include Referrals, Daily Consultation Summary, Pending Hires, Hires, Newsletter Email Distribution, and Leads)
– Track marketing data and create reports
– Greet visitors, potential clients, and attorneys to the office
– Polite and effective phone communication with clients and potential clients
– Manage attorney calendars
– Process weekly bank deposits
– Process incoming mail (scan/save/forward electronically) and outgoing mail (USPS priority tracking)
– Occasionally assist with copies, scanning, mail, phone calls, and general office administration
