Legal Assistant – Estate Planning Document Drafter

Our client, a well-established estate planning law firm in the heart of Fort Myers, Florida, seeks a legal assistant/word processor who is a skilled document drafter and is positive, personable and professional. Must have estate planning documents preparation background and be an expert in MS Word and Wealth Docx. The firm is a non-smoking office.

Responsibilities – Estate Planning Document Drafter

Process legal documents relating to estate planning.

Type, review, proof and revise estate planning documents, including Last Will & Testament and related forms. Prepare documents in final form for attorney and client review.

Assist attorneys in the composition and creation of estate planning and other legal documents (wills, trusts, advance directives).

Contact clients to arrange for draft estate planning documents approval.

Attend client meetings to participate in Last Will and Testament signings with attorneys and notary.

Qualifications – Estate Planning Document Drafter

Adaptability and flexibility with the ability to perform in an environment with constantly shifting priorities.

Ability to take job ownership with little need for supervision.

Proactive, alert and results oriented.

This position is client facing so the utmost professional is required.

Strong organizational skills a must.

Positive, cheerful and smiling while delivering excellent work product.

Requirements – Estate Planning Document Drafter

Expert in MS Office, document management, formatting, and advanced use of Word.

Proficient in WEALTH DOCX® software.

Typing minimum of 70wpm.

Knowledge of Trello a plus.

Business Attire.

Nonsmoking office.
