Director of Operations

Law firm in Dayton, Ohio seeks a proactive Director of Operations who is highly technical to manage overall productivity, processes, and operational systems. The Firm consists of a law practice, an accounting firm, and a financial consulting group, and the Operations Director will create seamless processes for all three companies.

The successful candidate is a data driven task master and will focus on developing efficient processes for case management that drives profitability. A background in the technology and legal industries is helpful with a project management credential and process mapping experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage processes for direct services delivered to clients for three companies ,such as case management, task management, systems, dashboards, data analysis, productivity, and profitability.

Manage practice group productivity for law firm cases, and develop and implement business and case management processes.

Map out processes, tasks, and manage to completion.

Handle technology issues as needed.

Coordinate weekly team meetings with practice leaders and practitioners.

Develop and produce meaningful management and productivity reports.

Hold Department Heads accountable for billing requirements and case/task completion.

Hands-on technical abilities in process mapping and data mining. Must be able to drive the data.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least four years of experience in operations preferably at a law firm, accounting firm or professional services company at the management or COO level.

Highly technical with a background in utilizing software for management analysis purposes, process mapping and data mining.

Substantial data management skills.

Highly skilled in software such as Excel and databases.

Experienced in revamping and improving processes, systems, workflows and procedures on a proactive basis.

Must be a strong leader, excellent communicator, and a Director who understands how to follow through, follow up, be accountable and hold others accountable.

Estate planning and probate law firm background a plus.

A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
