Probate Paralegal

Our client, a law firm in Seminole, Florida, seeks full-time, on-site Probate Paralegal for its thriving practice. This role is for a highly experienced paralegal and requires an extensive relevant background with the ability to open and administer formal and summary administrations in a timely manner from start to finish, with attorney oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day probate administration casework, including thoroughly reviewing documentation both provided by clients and other parties, preparing and filing legal documents, closely monitoring and managing deadlines, and conducting research on issues arising during the probate administration.
• Reviewing, summarizing, and facilitating communications with clients, beneficiaries, creditors, financial institutions, realtors, and others associated with the probate administration. Responsibilities may also include managing the interplay between probate administrations and associated trust, guardianship, or litigation proceedings occurring both within and outside of the law firm. From time to time, guardianship cases may also be assigned.
• Works well within a team environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of probate paralegal experience
• Probate administration – trust and guardianship experience
• Florida Efiling proficiency
• Ms Office expertise
• Expert legal document preparation
• Research skills
• FRP a plus
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
• Proficient with emerging technology and document management systems
• Paralegal certification or relevant associate’s degree preferred
• High attention to detail and ability to handle a high-volume caseload

Compensation Range

$70,000 – 80,000/annually DOE, plus benefits package and 401(k)
