Join a boutique law firm in Sarasota that is steeped in positivity! The firm seeks an entrepreneurial and experienced real estate closer/paralegal for its expanding practice. The firm is closely knit, supporting each other to deliver superior client service and having fun in the process. The paralegal role is an on-site position, full-time, 9-5.

The law firm needs a real estate closer who can operate independently. The Firm has other attorneys and closers for guidance as needed but is looking for somebody who can, for the most part, operate independently.

Experience Profile

3–5+ years in Florida title/real estate closings – residential and commercial

Experience managing files from open to post-close

Prior work in a Title company or Real Estate law firm

Direct experience preparing CDs/settlement statements (not just reviewing)

Keeps deals moving forward despite delays or complications

Understands prorations (taxes, HOA, rents)

Knows when to escalate legal issues vs. handle administratively

What you will do

The law firm is looking for an experienced real estate title closer/paralegal who can handle residential and/or commercial real estate transactions from contract to post-closing as follows:

• research
• working with escrow and settlement statements
• manages escrow accounts in compliance with Florida Bar / regulatory rules
• organizing real estate closing documents, Closing Disclosure (CD) / ALTA Settlement Statements
• clearing exceptions
• reviewing mortgage liens
• hoa documents
• working with all parties to a real estate closing (clients, attorneys, real estate agents, underwriters, third parties, title company, mortgage lenders, buyers and sellers)
• client-facing
• maintain all deadlines with checklists
• issue title policy
• track and clear post-closing requirements
• serve as the central point of communication on all real estate deals as deal manager

Technology

Experience with title production systems like Qualia or Softpro, and also CertifID (to verify wire-instructions), Simplifile (to pay county recording fees), and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and e-recording platforms.

Compensation

Market base salary, plus health insurance and retirement plan with a match.

Work Location

On-site, 9-5 in downtown Sarasota, Florida.
