Monzingo Legal is pleased to announce a recent placement of an  Administrative Assistant (Law Offices) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Our client, a West Hartford law firm, seeks an Administrative/Executive Assistant for their multi-office firm. The ideal candidate has a background in legal administration, legal assistance, experience with client intake, and excellent proofreading, calendaring, and office maintenance skills. The firm is looking for a team player who is diligent, pays attention to detail, and communicates well with others. While prior work in a law office is useful, it is not a prerequisite. Similarly, experience with billing management is desirable, but not a prerequisite.

This part time position is a 25 hour a week, 9-2 pm job with the potential, down the road, to work one day a week from home. Work would be in a congenial and dynamic environment of motivated professionals working together as a successful team, proud of its accomplishments and committed to helping clients.

What You Will Do – Administrative Assistant

– Polite communication with clients frequently over the phone and in person

– Greet visitors, potential clients, and attorneys

– Type and proof documents and correspondence

– Maintain attorney calendars

– Order supplies and maintain the general office areas

– Assist with copies, scanning, mail, phone calls, and general office administration duties

– Assist the Intake Specialist with fielding leads, responding to new client inquires, calendaring consultations, and tracking marketing data

– Work with outside vendor on monthly billing, invoices, and assist with accounts receivable

– Liaison with accountant to answer related accounting questions

Preferred Candidates

– Experienced Legal Administrative Assistant, Execute Assistant, or Law Office Manager with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience

– Superior grammar, spelling, and writing

– High school diploma or its equivalent; college degree preferred

– Professional administrative and clerical skills as to typing, calendar, technology, organization and prioritization
